Service status:

Upcoming change of IP address for BankID communication

2021-10-13

On November 8 2021 the IP address of one of the servers will be changed.

The following information is also available on the BankID Security Application Enterprise in the document "Installing BankID security application in corporate environments", section 5.

The BankID program on Windows and Mac communicates with different servers over https. This communication must not be interrupted by e.g. inspecting firewalls or proxies. Therefore, companies that have such firewalls/proxies, and where the BankID program is installed on computers, must allow communication to these IP addresses.

Change and action:

On November 8 2021 the IP address of one of the servers will be changed. The old IP address for vks.bankid.com to be deleted is 5.150.251.26 and it will be replaced by 141.226.253.92.

Consequences if this change is not implemented:

After one month, the BankID program will consistently warn that the version is too old, and, depending on the installation method/version, either link the user to the installation site, or refer to the system administrator.

BankID use will continue to work, but the message described above will be disruptive in the flow.
