Secure start and BankID in phone calls

Secure start of BankID will be mandatory from May 1st, 2024. This means that all organisations using BankID in their e-services need to update to version 6 of our RP-API. In connection to the update the following changes have to be done:  

• Remove start by personal identity numbers from all flows.

• Use autostart for BankID on the same device.

• Use animated QR code for BankID on another device.

In RP-API v6, there are also some changes to parameters.

BankID in phone calls – now also for BankID Security Application  

For companies using BankID in phone calls there is a new functionality for the latest version of our RP-API. Identification and signature are both available for phone calls. Mobile BankID already had support for this and with the latest update of the BankID Security Application for Windows and macOS the new functionality is available for this too. The latter means that phone calls can be used  with secure start also for BankID on card and file.
