1.4 million users and easy and secure validation have led to more and more companies choosing to accept the digital ID card from BankID. The latest addition is Parks and Resorts, which has several of Sweden's major amusement parks: Gröna Lund, Kolmården, Furuviksparken and Skara Sommarland.

- Making our guests' visits to us safe, smooth and fun is our most important mission. With digital ID cards from BankID, we can maintain a high level of security while the guest only needs to carry their mobile phone. It's fast and easy for staff, while allowing for enhanced verification if needed. It helps us deliver world-class experiences, every time," says John Severinson CIO at Parks and Resorts.

One in three 18-year-olds

The digital ID card was launched in June last year, and is already used by more than one in three 18-year-olds and by 1.4 million people in total. It’s a new way to identify yourself in physical environments and makes it easier for those who just want to carry their mobile phone.

High security

To activate a digital ID card you need to have a Swedish passport or national ID card. This verifies the authenticity and validity of the physical ID document, providing a high level of security. The photo, taken at the police station in a controlled environment, is downloaded to the digital ID card and cannot be replaced. The ID card also has several security features that make it easy to check in a smooth, secure and accurate way.
