Owned media are all communication channels that are mainly controlled by you as user of the trademark BankID, e.g. your website, your blog, your social media, your newsletter, your app, etc.
You always own the content of your owned media, but not necessarily the channel itself (e.g. social media).
As a general rule you may use the trademark in your owned media, under the following conditions:
The use is not in conflict with any laws and regulations, fair practices or this Trademark Guide.
The use is only for the purpose of describing or communicating how BankID can be used in connection with your services, or to offer BankID identification for access to your services (e.g. at login or upon signature).
The trademark BankID is not displayed in banners, video ads, printed marketing materials or any other advertising format.
Paid media are all communication channels that are not mainly controlled by you as user of the trademark BankID, e.g. websites, billboards or television channels belonging to other entities.
You do not own your paid media, but you use them to drive traffic to your owned media or to sell your services, e.g. via banners or other advertising on external websites, video/television ads, printed marketing materials, Out of Home advertising, or any other advertising that is displayed outside of your owned media.
The trademark BankID must not be used in any form in paid media. This prohibition covers the use of both the word mark and the logo.
